Terms of Service

Last updated: August 31, 2026

By using roadflow (“Service”), including Roadflow Plans and Roadflow Artifacts, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Use of the Service

roadflow provides browser-based editors: Plans (roadmap editor — roads, lanes, steps, artifact links, markup, optional date grid, export, Slack Connect) and Artifacts (freeform graph of documents, notes, packages, and labels). In both products you may optionally publish edit and/or view share links. You are responsible for all content you create and for complying with these Terms and applicable law.

2. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to create, share, or publish content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, fraudulent, infringing, or otherwise objectionable; that distributes malware or phishing; or that violates applicable laws. You must not abuse Slack or other third-party integrations (for example, scraping beyond the scopes you authorized, or sharing tokens). We may remove shared content, disconnect integrations, and block access without prior notice if we reasonably believe you violate these Terms or the law.

3. Local storage, sharing, and Slack Connect

By default, your Plans roadmap or Artifacts graph stays in your browser. If you use Share, you upload a snapshot to our servers at roadflow.io. Shared links (edit or view) are available to anyone who has the URL. Do not share links you want to keep private, and do not store passwords, payment data, or other sensitive personal information in workspaces intended for sharing.

If you use Slack Connect, you authorize roadflow to access Slack List data using the OAuth scopes shown during login (typically reading Lists, related files metadata, and user display names for grouping). Synced maps are view-only in roadflow: viewers cannot edit the canvas; source of truth remains the Slack List (subject to sync interval). You must have permission under your Slack workspace rules to connect the List you choose.

4. Ownership and control

You retain ownership of the Plans roadmaps and Artifacts graphs you create and of content sourced from your Slack workspace. We own and operate the Service and infrastructure. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any feature at any time. We may remove shared snapshots or Slack connections when necessary for security, abuse, or operations. Your license to use the Service is revocable if you breach these Terms.

5. Third-party services

Slack is operated by Slack Technologies, LLC (or its affiliates). Your use of Slack is governed by Slack’s terms and policies. We are not responsible for Slack availability, List content accuracy, or changes to Slack’s APIs. If Slack revokes access or you uninstall the app, sync may stop until you reconnect.

6. No warranties; limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee uptime, data persistence in your browser, continuous Slack sync, or that shared Plans or Artifacts links will remain available forever.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or zero if the Service is free).

7. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses, or costs (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, your Slack connections, or your violation of these Terms or any law.

8. Changes

We may change these Terms at any time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.

9. General

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any part is held invalid, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a right does not waive that right.
